Man hurt in stupid skateboard stunt in Hollywood's West Hollywood neighborhood

Cops are searching for a video game rider who's wanted for over a week after being thrown into a pond.

The Los Angeles Police Department said it received two reports of a man being attacked in a Hollywood neighborhood Monday night, but none of the injuries are life-threatening.

The victim is reportedly 29-year-old Richard L. L. Clark, whose bike was damaged in the attack, the department said on Wednesday.

He was hospitalized with a leg wound and was released from the hospital on Wednesday night, the department said. He did not immediately return a call seeking comment.

Detectives with the LAPD's gang unit, as well as the Hollywood unit, were searching for the man, a skateboarder.

Police had said earlier Wednesday afternoon that they were looking for a man who was throwing objects into parks in Beverly Hills, Beverly Hills, Burbank and West Hollywood on Monday night.

The man was described as a black man in his 30s.

Officers said they could not provide more details or provide additional surveillance images, although police said they "could confirm" the man was seen in a video skateboarding near a park on Hollywood Boulevard and North Highland Drive at about 6:20 p.m. Monday evening.

There was one person watching the man and the video at the time, said Hollywood Sgt. John Proctor. The person who was trying to hold the man down was not injured.

In addition to being thrown, the man lost both of his legs, according to the department.
